Our client provides expeditionary logistics and field camp operations, focusing on personnel accommodation and essential services in times of crisis.

Position Overview:
The PAX Camp Manager will oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of temporary personnel accommodation camps, known as PAX camps. These camps may be deployed in response to natural disasters, special events, or emergency situations. The role requires managing critical infrastructure such as HVAC systems, laundry facilities, latrines, dining facilities (DFAC), morale, welfare, and recreation (MWR) services, and other essential services to ensure the safety and well-being of camp personnel.

Due to the emergency nature of the deployments, we seek candidates with strong leadership experience in high-pressure, remote, or expeditionary environments, particularly from law enforcement or military backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operation of PAX camps, including essential services such as HVAC, laundry, latrines, DFAC, MWR, power generation, and sanitation.
  • Ensure the quick and efficient deployment, setup, and operation of PAX camp infrastructure during times of crisis.
  • Implement and enforce safety and security protocols in compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with various service providers to ensure smooth delivery of accommodations, food services, sanitation, and other critical support for camp personnel.
  • Supervise camp personnel, which may include logistical staff, security teams, and service providers.
  • Maintain communication with leadership and clients to provide updates on camp status, performance, and any operational challenges.
  • Address operational and logistical issues quickly to maintain camp functionality in emergency situations.
  • Provide leadership during emergency incidents, ensuring the safety and security of all camp occupants.

Qualifications:

  • Former or retired law enforcement officer (LEO) or military personnel with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in managing large teams and overseeing complex operations in remote or high-stress environments.
  • Experience with logistics and infrastructure management, including HVAC, power systems, DFAC, and other essential camp services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions quickly in dynamic and emergency situations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with PAX tents or similar modular accommodation systems is preferred.
  • Current security clearance or the ability to obtain one is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in challenging environments, including natural disaster zones and remote areas.
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment, supplies, and materials as required for camp operations.
